October 2, 2021 Wyck Historic House & Garden Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Hidden in the Mount Airy District of Philadelphia lies the most breathtaking venue, The Wyck Historic House & Garden. And this is where Amanda & James celebrated their love and made a lifelong commitment to each other in front of their close family & friends.
While the venue itself has picture-perfect settings, Amanda went over the top with decorations and carefully designed and crafted everything by hand.
With help from James, the bridal party, and family everyone brought her vision to life on the big day. I was blown away by the details and can honestly say I’ve never seen a charcuterie board quite as grand.
The day unfolded beautifully, and Amanda was GORGEROUS AND GLOWING from the moment she stepped into the property. Once the prep was done, James, went from set up mode to groom mode as he prepped to see his bride. While first looks are common these days, they wanted to keep the big reveal until she walked down the aisle so instead, they did a first touch, and it was perfect. It was a quick break from the craziness of the day and allowed them to do a check in with each other before walking down the aisle.
After the ceremony, Amanda & James, broke off from traditions and had their first dance in a private section of the garden. This intimate approach fit them to a tee, and they were able to hold each other in the moment for just a tad longer. During this time they also exchanged small meaningful gifts they made for each other, which was beyond adorable.
The reception was filled with delicious food from Victory Brewery, a DYI wine station, beautiful toasts, and GAMES! Instead of dancing, Amanda & James, put out yard games and a table full of board games for their guests to enjoy. This was so unique and allowed them to focus on the people who came to celebrate their marriage. It was the perfect day.
