10 Years + 1 Dog = 1 Wedding (Disclaimer: we're photographers, not mathematicians)
Dana and Scott met in college and their lives have been entwined ever since. From Scott traveling miles on end to visit Dana to making a home together in DC and welcoming their first fluff child, Daphne, to the family. To say they were ready to make it official is an understatement and their day was nothing but perfection.
The morning made wedding history as the bride and all her bridesmaids were done with hair and make up before we even arrived! We quickly grabbed the detail shots and then jumped into the fun PJ pictures, champagne pops and of course, getting the bride dressed and ready. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen gathered in the lobby and kicked off the day with sports and beer.
Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, Daphne arrived and stole the show. She made sure to greet everyone with kisses and love on the special day. After making her rounds, she posed with Mom and Dad for the first look and made sure to smile for the family photos they will cherish forever.
Around 4 pm we all headed to the Farmingdale College Horticulture, for wedding day portraits. (Kudos to Linda, Mom of the Bride, for finding this gem location). Then we hopped back on the bus and headed to the venue. In another historic wedding moment, the ceremony was under 8 minutes, but it was perfect - sweet, simple and filled with love. Everyone watched in awe as Dana walked down the aisle and clapped as they announced Mr. & Mrs. Bauer.
After the ceremony, the party officially kicked off. The cocktail hour was amazing with a full spread of meats, cheeses, pasta and even a BACON STATION. Yes, a station with Bacon. Typically as vendors, we wait until dinner to eat, but I shamefully admit I snuck a stick of bacon in the corner and it was to die for. Around 8 pm, everyone made their way to the reception. The bride and groom spent the night eating, laughing drinking and dancing the night away with beloved family and friends.
We were honored to be a part of Dana and Scott's wedding and we cannot wait to share the full album with the newlyweds. Cheers to many years together eating, laughing, and maybe some more dogs. Congratulations!
